Rotary Membership

Rotary is a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in Rotary clubs for the purpose of encouraging the practical application of the idea of service, both individually and collectively. A Rotary club selects its members on a basis of classification of vocations in order to assure a broad representation of the community’s life and further the Object of Rotary.

Rotary clubs provide members with opportunities to exemplify high ethical standards in their personal and business or professional activities.

Application for membership in the Piedmont Rotary Club will be considered for any adult person of good character and good business and professional reputation engaged as a proprietor, partner, corporate officer or manager of any worthy and recognized business or profession in the surrounding area; hold an important position in any worthy and recognized business or profession or any branch or agency thereof and have executive capacity with discretionary authority; or having retired from any position meeting any of these criteria.
